Felt like writing some of my thoughts about Aestus, by S. Z. Attwell. This is basically all spoilers - I have spoiler-free reviews on my Bookwyrm.

As Aestus Book 1 is a finalist in the SPSFC competition this weekend, I felt it was a good time to write something more detailed about why I love these books.

📕 Sea Haven by J M Simpson 📕

This is book four in the Castleby series & I loved it. From the close knit community & interconnected relationships, to the seaside setting &, of course, the occasional crime - I was there, immersed in somewhere that felt like home. Although this could be read as a standalone, there are many characters all with their own backstory so I would recommend starting at book one.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The misadventures of the prickly, overworked, definitely not nurturing Professor Fitger continue in Julie Schumacher's The English Experience. I love this satirical series so much! Find out more in my review at https://abookishtype.wordpress.com/

📕A Body of Water by Rhys Dylan📕

Opening with the discovery of a dead man in an extremely remote part of Wales the team are swiftly together, except Jess who is on a course in Cardiff. When two young female holidaymakers disappear too, the investigation appears to be a thankless task. There are only four properties within a few miles of each other & no CCTV. Where do they start?

Fabulous ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
