Killing wave after wave of flying jellyfish

Love the game. Completed all the main factions and the main campaign. Now, before I dive into new game + I wanted to grind a little XP to set myself right.

I read about the flying jellyfish on planet strix. I tried it out and got two levels up in 30 minutes!

I’ve now dumped 4 hours on this rainy, persistently dull planet. Billions have died. Still, I’m ‘only’ level 54. I’m on console and I want to explore the other skills in the game but feel obliged to complete and round out my ‘essentials’.

I don’t know how these things reproduce, but I have somehow not outpaced them yet. Has anyone else commited themselves to mass extinction of an entire species?
