I barely use reddit anymore save for porn and niche subs but after that glorious app I had used for ages finally died a few days ago I felt devastated. it was like losing an old friend. I hope reddit dies an even slower and more painful death

Reddit has started posting purchased 5 star reviews on Apple Store, wouldn’t be surprised if they were doing on Android as well. This is illegal and you can voice your dissatisfaction with the FTC at the provided link.
Will this undermine most of what makes IAmA special? Probably. But Reddit leadership has all the funds they need to hire people to perform those extra tasks we formerly undertook as volunteer moderators, and we’d be happy to collaborate with them if they choose to do so.

Just thought I’d point this out to anyone looking for an RIF alternative that’s actually in the same vein as RIF (compact, simple, clean)....

I just got disconnected from RIF. I thought it would last until midnight, but it looks like the plug has been pulled. RIP.

u/spez says that 90% of 3rd party apps will fall under the free model because they wont make enough API calls to come under the paid model. So how many times would we need to clone, and rename, the good 3rd party apps and split the users up between them to make reddit free again?...
