It takes my PC (which should be fast enough; Ryzen 9, NVME) running OpenSUSE TW 42 seconds to boot, more than 30 seconds longer than before. The Budgie project plans on soft forking mutter in the short term to implement Wayland support in Budgie 10, but will look into developing their own wlroots based compositor called Magpie as a long term solution.
