It’s getting really frustrating, almost every post has missing comments. What causes this?...

Hey! I was about to make a feature request on github for this but I thought having a discussion first would be helpful....

There is a thread in another community regarding some controversies happening in women’s chess. I posted to that thread, recommending a book written by WGM Jennifer Shahade who is a multi-time US women’s chess champion. I also linked to a review of the book, the url of which contained the book title....

This post was apparently posted at 11:08 GMT+2, which is almost two hours in the future from now....

Why is the lemmy hot sort seemingly so bad? After the first couple of posts it turns into new posts with no votes, sometimes the same new post multiple times back to back to different communities, and sometimes posts with negative points. I came across a series of posts today with 1 upvote (poster) and 6 downvotes. I don’t get...

This is just my basic perspective as a daily user since June 9th....

Attempting to create a post with a title of “0! = 1” causes lemmy to stall, with the create post button remaining as a little spinning circle and no error messages....

Is this a known issue? If you type in https://lemmy.ml/pictrs/image/ef8ffb51-fe76-449c-89ae-5d585b244abf.png somewhere it will be replaced by https://lemmy.ml/pictrs/image/3363f387-4e3f-40c2-9141-88a6a1598387.png...

I was getting close to hitting the end of my free object storage so there was time pressure involved haha....

Had this happen 2 times already and increasing the max memory seemed to fix it. Does lemmy need that much ressources or am I doing something wrong? I’m on the latest stable version

I also have an account on another instance. The sole admin hasn’t been heard of for three weeks. There don’t seem to have been any mod actions for a month and the instance hasn’t been updated to the latest version....

Currently using Voyager as my main app, was just wondering if there was a way to group communities so that I can just scroll through one group at a time. For example, I would have a group just for stock market related communities or a group just for gaming communities. Does this feature exist?

EDIT: I was able to solve this by going into the “change password” screen, right-clicking the “old password” field, clicking “inspect”, and changing maxlength=“60” minlength=“10” to maxlength=“60” minlength=“1”, thanks to the tip provided by Dandroid in the comments....

I made the huge mistake of upgrading on the same day of the new release. I had copied my inventory folder to a new pull of lemmy-ansible, checked out 1.3.0, and ran it with no errors. But refreshing the took a very long time to load. The closest issue I found was at github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/4244 but that’s a deep dive...

Ive been hosting a lemmy Instance for about 2 months and it grew to about 50 gigs. A lot of that storage seems to come from image cache. Whats the best way to only delete cache and keep my uploaded images?
