I am signed in as an admin user of my instance. A different, non-admin user has created a community on my instance. I can’t edit this community’s details. If I create a post in this community, I can’t use the … menu to assign myself moderator of this community....

I have firefox configured to show no images because I’m on a limited connection. I think the only thing I’ve changed w.r.t. my usage habits recently is to start using Lemmy again. I’m chewing through bandwidth credit quite fast, like ¼—⅓gb in a day. Does it seem possible that Lemmy would cause that even when images...

I also have an account on another instance. The sole admin hasn’t been heard of for three weeks. There don’t seem to have been any mod actions for a month and the instance hasn’t been updated to the latest version....

I had an account on an instance that went down. Is there any way to easily request for it to be removed from search results, or is it just going to be stuck in perpetual existence forever on other instance caches?

Whenever I make a post or comment it is automatically upvoted/liked ( I don’t know what it’s called here). Is this part of Lemmy in general or part of my Lemmy client (Jerboa)? How can I disable this behavior?

On my lemmy.ml instance, most of the comments on my posts get hidden. I can see them from my notifications but not the actual posts. However I can perfectly see all of them on other instances like lemmy.world. Is this normal?

I usually browse Lemmy hot and just block any communities I don’t find interesting. As I understand it, the blocking seems to be done by your instance. So is there a maximum number of communities a user can block on the instance side? And what is it?...

Hey all. as lemmy world has grown, they have had to make some decisions about their legal protection (defederating some piracy communities), which I cannot and will not support....

I just set up my instance and noticed that posts on my Instance dont have the same upvote and comment counts? What couses this and how can I solve it?...

I’m considering migrating away from Lemmy.world on account of downtime and the recent blocking of piracy communities. However, I am quite fond of Lemmy.world’s other choices in defederation, e.g. nazi nonsense and CSAM....

It’s easy enough to look at https://[instance]/instances and see which instances a particular instance has blocked....

Currently using Voyager as my main app, was just wondering if there was a way to group communities so that I can just scroll through one group at a time. For example, I would have a group just for stock market related communities or a group just for gaming communities. Does this feature exist?

Can you set up a lemmy instance to only federate with lemmy and kbin instances? And not federate with others like peertube, mastodon, etc?
