The thing people seem to miss is we want equity of opportunity not equity of outcomes. If I put in half the work of another person doing the same job as me I shouldn’t expect the same results for my work.

You’re shocked that he doesn’t have a very specific score. You either administer the test often enough to have a realistic expectation if guessing that score correctly, have no idea that 140-150 would be genius or better, or you’re talking out if your ass while making a pretentious claim.
I think you are assigning a moral value to “bad” that I am not. Things can have negative outcomes that are considered not ideal aka bad but do not carry a moralistic element to them. For example “the weather outside is pretty bad” does not contain a moral judgement which is how Im reading OP’s question
Originally it was the independent non-major label rock or rock adjacent acts that were the “alternative” to what mainstream white oriented pop-rock stations in the USA were marketing. It became a ludicrous name once it represented what those pop-rock stations were playing.
