A small town of mystery
laden with a dark history.

Residents hide in fear.
Tourists do not come near.

What will our small town become
once the dark battle is won?

"A compelling spine-chilling paranormal thriller in which Linda arrives in a Town called ‘Oasis,’ a seemingly sleepy town where nothing is as it appears to be..."~

I've finally started reading Natalia Ginzburg's 'All Our Yesterdays', a novel seemingly set around a family in Italy.

What style and verve, bound together by sublime force.

Rather heavier than I usually enjoy, and really, really creepy. Also loved the relationship in the book, and the main character being full of sharp edges

Triggers: Insects, parasites, toxic family relationship, racism/colonialism, food-related yuckiness

I just started reading 'Loser Takes All' by Graham Greene: https://bookrastinating.com/book/475329/s/loser-takes-all

40 pages in and I regret having taken so long to read the master's books since last time.

This is fun, funny, and fast.

What we look for in a good , , or conversation?

A stretch of runway to take off from and return to ourselves.

Five stars: The Tatami Galaxy by Tomihiko Morimi and Emily Balistrieri (Translator) (2004 / 2022) at it's most basic is a four chapter story of a university student's foray into different clubs. But it's also..."a survival story about a man trapped in a never-ending maze of four-and-a-half-mat tatami rooms and his journey to escape..." (p. 35)
