My personal top five Star Trek episodes from across the franchise. My opinions are not designed to be controversial, but in the past they’ve been molten hot in Trek groups. Numerous well regarded episodes that are the consensus tops don’t make my list, and in fact TNG is entirely absent....
Most of my favourite books/movies/TV shows are Sci fi - I love Mary Shelley, slaughterhouse five, annihilation (both the book and the movie), The Thing, x files, the invasion, and the OA. This feels like a pretty wide variety of writing styles when I line them up but 90% of the sci fi I read/watch I just don’t enjoy at all....
Respectfully, I find the Foundation TV series extremely disheartening. I envy those who can watch Lee Pace’s triumphant acting without being completely off put by the appalling writing choices in the show. The fundamental aspects of the Robot, Empire, and Foundation series books clashe so hard with the message being presented...
Would a lightsaber make a good lawn care tool? I think so....
