I tried to login to my older account after being logged out for a while and I kept getting an error that my password wasn’t long enough as it needs to be 10 or more characters. But if I’m not mistaken, my password (which I had kept record of) is less than 10 characters and I can’t exactly change that....
I’ve been getting some spam comments (with Images I’d rather not see) and even after blocking the people I still see them in my inbox. I’d rather not....
Images aren’t loading for me on rc10/rc11. I didn’t have this issue on rc8/rc9....

I’m new to docker, and I want to build lemmy with the latest changes in. codebase but I have no idea how I’m going to deploy it to my server
Ive been hosting a lemmy Instance for about 2 months and it grew to about 50 gigs. A lot of that storage seems to come from image cache. Whats the best way to only delete cache and keep my uploaded images?
I made the mistake of trying to use 2FA for the lemmy.ml account. Please can the lemmy.ml admin contact me via email to arrange a fix. I’m guessing you’ll have to turn it off. I’ve tried just doing a password reset but it didn’t turn off the 2FA so there is no way to recovery from this....
Actually I have an account in another instance but i have trouble logging in, I think I may have enabled 2FA for login but i dont remember any token number for 2FA. Is there any possible way to disable the 2FA and Login into account. Note: I also used email id for the login but didn’t receive any token number in mail.
Let’s say I’m interested in all kinds of Technology, but literally in nothing that is being published by www.theverge.com....
When creating a post, is there an instance-agnostic way to do that, or is best practice just to put the [email protected] in the text field?
My main account is on sh.itjust.works, but I am a mod for some communities on lemmy.world....
I’m trying to setup a community without pict-rs (and as such, without being able to host its pictures myself). I’ve been tinkering a bit with the API (through python clients, essentially), and I’ve found how to change my users’s avatar to an URL, but not a community. On Lemmy.py, for instance, I have an update() method a...
Just wanted to reach out to mention I think the linked page may be missing an opening ( in the image example: ![Lemmy from Motörhead]https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/84/Lemmy-02.jpg)...
I’m an admin in our own instance (mujico.org), I have seen some posts that need the NSFW tag but I can’t find a way to put that tag, There are some posts that are not NSFW and I would like to remove that, that’s it.
I’ve reinstalled lemmy several times and after I went public with my instance, I figured out federation is broken for those posts with a low id, because those posts got federated and after reinstall, they have been ghost data and no sync happened....
I suggest labels to label communities with a category....
Hopefully it’s the right community, I didn’t find more appropriate so post this. I’ll remove the post if it isn’t....
I have been using Lemmy for a while now and decided to “branch out” from Lemmy.world to another instance. I used lasim to migrate all of my subscriptions over to the new account on Discuss.online. What I was expecting is to have the default view which is Everything, sorted by Hot, be somewhat similar between instances, but...
It seems like I should be able to subscribe to a Mastodon channel on Lemmy, but according to this answer from 2 months ago, that isn’t part of Lemmy’s general direction:...
Hello everyone,...
Basically title. After blocking a user, if they reply to a comment it comes through as an inbox notification
