Dunno if am on the wrong instance or what ever (freemedia or something) but there’s very little content to scroll through. Do I need to ditch this and start again or is this pretty much standard?

Since Reddit’s about to keel over, I decided to make a Lemmy account.
I’m logged in on my PC, but apparently my password didn’t save to the password manager, and forgot password isn’t doing anything, so I don’t have a way to reset it. This a known issue?
Does being in a previous version cause issues such us being unable to search for other communities in instances in a higher version?
I don’t know if this breaks etiquette or something, but if you want other instances to be able to see the community you created here you can go to their page and search for your community from their server !community...
Probably illegal, but in all of this talk of “reddit has historic posts that are important”, could we export all of the posts from r/FMHY and import them here?...
Not sure when the site went down, but I only noticed now. I tried to do my research to get more information but with the migration from reddit to lemmy all my usual sources are scattered....
I went over to z-lib.is and found that first, my old account was no longer recognized; and second, it wouldn’t let me access any books. It just redirected me to some page asking me to purchase a “lifetime premium membership.” What’s going on there?...
For instance: lemmy.ml/c/asklemmy looks vastly different to lemmy.fmhy.ml/c/[email protected] being the same community, a lot of posts and comments are hidden.
I recently got a 4k TV and so I’m really wanting to watch movies in 4k. They take up so much space that I can’t really put them on a flashdrive to watch, and as there aren’t any piracy streaming sites with 4k content I was thinking about using an old PC to make a media server on either plex or jellyfin....
testing
Try to visit other instances and search their interesting communities on your own instance so there is a better federation among all instances....
