Nah fuck that. It was verbal until the cop tased him, then its not exactly shocking that it causes him to react. The cop was screaming the whole time, no de-escalation at all. Just get him to the side of the road, safe and talk while waiting for backup. It's just more evidence of undertrained US cops. There was no reason for this man to die.
The problem for me was never the plug, but the socket. It was obvious to me which side had the connectors, it's the sockets on devices that would be random rotations most of the time. I never really understood the extreme hatred, while it wasn't perfect, it worked well. I inserted successfully a lot more times than not, USB-A served us well in all honesty, but glad we have moved on to reversible.
I think most software like this grows to a certain size and then they need the telemetry to identify issues. There's so many hardware configurations and most people don't submit bug reports or opt into their configuration being shared. It's not an inherently bad thing, just some companies are taking more than they need.
Yesss, it's UX was the main selling point it had over competitors and why I also kept with it. It has slowly started going down hill with all these library and playlist changes they have seemingly made for no reason at all, while they keep ignoring user requested features. Will check out this spotube.
I mean it's always going to be an uphill battle, but I'd rather it stop some bots and be easier for me than them making me do a million captchas, that dont even work half the time, that still don't stop many bots.
I’ve been thinking about this for a while. With the repairability of the steam deck and the power available to it, it seems like a no brainer to use it for a bit of school work or casual browsing, Discord etc. Like you would a normal desktop....
It's not free, you are paying for it in the phone price. Phone prices are super inflated rn. People keep buying these $1k phones, so prices are slowly going up to see what they can get away with.
Yeah, probably part of it too. Google are an advertising company after all, they always have loads of sales on Pixel products to get people in the ecosystem for that juicy data. Good thing Pixels are the best phone for loading an alternative OS.
Alot of the time I’ll be playing will be in-between calls at work so being able to pause any time is important. The only one I’ve played is god of war but I never finished it .
True, the concept of the fediverse is probably what confuses people, it's never explained clearly. I hope it's growth helps spread information about it, how it works and why you want it.
I hope the OSRS wiki really influences others, that wiki is top quality, the best out there honestly. Fandom, fextralife and such can all die in a hole.
I am happy Weird Gloop have decided to host the Minecraft wiki.
AAA wouldn't remove macrotransactions to counter the higher price, they would just charge more for the game and keep everything the same. The current generation has been conditioned by mtx, it's no longer a whale problem. it's a norm that the average consumer accepts and buys into, which has fucked the industry.
Overwatch was priced at $40 on launch, it was just multiplayer after all. They priced it brilliantly and the mtx they had were pointless and non-invasive, a far cry to what that game has devolved into these days. Overwatch '2' was a forced patch which turned the game free-to-play and added all the aforementioned cancer mtx.
BG3 is $60, without any mtx. So I don't really understand the point you are making at all, it is just false that they were priced the same, BG3 didn't need to cost more, if it's cheaper it's more accessible to more people and the volume of sales makes up for the lower price, don't forget (like they want you to) there are a LOT more people playing and buying games now than 5, 10, 20 years ago.
Games are half-baked because people's standards have dropped and they will just buy half-baked shit, people still pre-order digital games... or they buy special editions to let them play the game 3 days early or whatever, the situation we are in is the fault of mindless consumption, not the fact game prices haven't significantly increased.
Until AAA games can remove the predatory monetisation, and gain our trust back, we should not be agreeing to be charged more. These companies aren't struggling, they are turning over record profits. Support indie developers, fuck AAA.
Not to mention until it's actually photo-realistic, it looks uncanny. It's better to find a style and use that than to chase realism imo. But then again, these AAA games just add a bunch of foliage, some god rays, maybe a sprinkle of rain and people are oooh, aaah-ing and coughing up their cash.
Nononono, UX is fucking terrible at the moment, if you said this somewhere like 10-15 years ago I would probably agree with you, but everything is designed to serve ads and be as functionless as possible these days.
I never felt sick from just VR, but the continuous movement (rather than teleporting) made my brain confused like I wanted to fall over, but after a few hours of it I got used to it for good and now have no problems with VR, other than fatigue of moving around so much aha.
I think most people could break it in, but are reluctant to keep playing or play again once they feel sick doing it. While its easy to get immersed, you have to disconnect yourself from it a bit and remember you are in the real world, when friends and family try it I have to make sure they dont walk into walls, but on my own I have full awareness of my surroundings even when I am blind to it. It just takes time to get used to it.
It's a really fun experience, I hope it keeps getting developed regardless of sickness issues. Higher framerates are definitely important, the 120Hz mode on the Index is definitely recommended, any lower and its much more likely to be sickness inducing.
Its not AC anymore though, they should have made a new IP instead of using an existing one on games that are completely different to the originals in the franchise.
I guess. I mean thats why they keep using the AC name though isnt it, they had no faith in their products to stand on their own.
I think all the recent AC games could have been a new franchise, they all are pretty much the same base game. I wouldnt even count AC4 as a AC game personally, I guess I just crave that beautiful AC2/Brotherhood experience again that we will never get.
They could show you where the ads will be placed and display a non-intrusive message saying please whitelist this site, then I would consider it.
If they aggressively ask me to turn off my adblocker with pops up and such, then I am just going to leave the site or block the popups. Sites push the most cancer ads and are then surprised when people want nothing to do with them.
You get "Larianed" a lot in BG3 just like you did in DOS2, plenty of inconsistencies, annoying pathing and quirks that make you wonder if they even played their own game before releasing it. But to put it in the same vein as cyberpunk 2077 is kind of disgusting. CDPR completely lied about the product, it barely ran on most PCs and didn't even function on consoles.
BG3 while far from perfect, is much more of a game than cp2077 will probably ever be and Larian are firing out patches left and right at the moment while CDPR are still forbidding reviewers to even use their own game footage.
Baldurs Gate 3 will go down as one of the greats. Cyberpunk 2077 will be forgotton about.
On just bugs I still disagree that it's anywhere near cp2077, but yeah there is a trend of games being buggy on launch and that defo has to be called out, especially when it's bugs that most people come across that are not even niche or very specific. Performance in act 3 still has a long way to go yeah, luckily it's not a fast paced game or a... shooter, so it's not the end of the world, but not very pleasant either.
It's great for sure, my only complaints are the grips should be wider, you have to really bend your fingers to use the back buttons, it could be a lot more comfortable. Also the vent at the back is too close to the fingers on the right, along with the previous issue, your fingers want to rest on it. So a revised model in the future would be great for things like that, the display is fine imo, a bigger battery would obviously always be welcome.
There are plenty of multiplayer games I adore. However, it seems like every community has these “brain dead”, patronizing, or out right toxic elements that are just nasty. I’d rather debate politics than make suggestions in some gaming communities because the responses are just so … annoying....
Taking a firm stand against what Unity have been doing, Terraria developer Re-Logic announced today they've begun funding Godot Engine and FNA with a big donation and ongoing funding.
Yep. The first few hours of a game are really important. If people tell me it gets better later I usually assume they are suffering from sunk-cost at that point. There are some games that genuinely start slow and end up really good, but it's not common.
Terraria is a 2D sandbox but with good progression built in with interesting bosses and items. The early game in these games are usually the most fun in my opinion, building up from nothing is satisfying.
Why is the fact reddit is brought up, brought up so much? It's like someone constantly talking about someone who constantly talks about their ex.
(Reddit happens to be one of the largest sites in the world, it shouldnt be a mystery to why it is mentioned a lot, especially given the circumstance of the fediverse's recent growth)

You didn't get lucky, Amazon will just replace or refund with basically no questions asked. As long as you don't have a high refund ratio that is, then they will just delete your account. As sucky as they are for workers, it's peace of mind to buy things like electronics from them.

Doesn't really matter, they don't need the switch to have bleeding edge performance, that isn't why it sells. It has to be affordable and using older processes helps achieve that.
