Seeing the other post here about YouTuber that went downhill and seeing content creators I am familiar with makes me sad. But how about those that still makes great, high quality content?
The Jerboa app crashes when I try to login from infosec.pub (V. 0.19.0). I hadn’t used the app for a while, so I can’t guarantee that this issue started with the server’s switch to 0.19.0.
I hate these fuckers so much. Ever since I started my new apprenticeship two months ago, it takes my SO and I a little longer than usual to do some basic cleaning around the flat, eg. it takes us a little longer to take out the trash, put dishes away and stuff like that. I swear, we have fruit flies here that have been here since before my apprenticeship started. We’ve tried a bunch of tips to varying degrees of success, but if we don’t pay attention to them for another day or two, a billion more of them pop up out of seemingly nowhere.
I know that it’s our fault by not taking out the trash more often and stuff, but it’s just been so difficult these past few months to have any personal time at all, let alone take care of these little fuckers. Sometimes I just snap and start vacuuming them up out of pure rage, just to have a few days with them not littered across the flat.
We’ve been using a glass with any kind of fruit paired with a funnel-shaped piece of paper with a small enough hole placed on top of the glass’ opening so that the flies can enter through the small opening but are usually too stupid to exit out of. What happens is that they all gather inside the glass, under the funnel, but can’t escape, so you can just release them all alive outside.
Euthanising animals that have nothing to live for any longer, who are dead-sick and are in agony. Compared to the billions of animals raised for animal ag, slaughtered on the daily, just to be sold for pennies in stores. I don’t think they’re the villain here, my guy.
I agree with you. I don’t think this is a particularly useful spending of their time and resources since there’s a plethora of reasons not to consume dairy. However, you did bring up their kill shelters which I responded to.
Again, I am not defending them using their don’t-consume-dairy-to-prevent-autism shtick. I don’t agree with their outright villainisation in regards to everything else they do, which is definitely heaps more than the average non-vegan does in terms of pro-animal advocacy.
Having rigid schedules with little to no wiggle room sure contribute to that, doesn’t it. It’s really frustrating to me. For quite a long period of time (around a year-ish), I didn’t do anything else except work from home which was, for the most part, pretty chill. Naturally, even though I’m living with my partner, I had a lot of time on my hands to go to ping pong practice, play games, and other things. Now, I’ve recently started an apprenticeship and now I have time to do fuck-all once I get home from school. Groceries, cooking, some cleaning, and then it’s basically time to sleep lol. Barely, if any gaming, no time on my hands to go to practice etc.
We’ve been struggling a lot recently, but I’m still holding out hope that it’ll get a little better once we’re accustomed to the schedule even if it’ll probably only get more later on. One can hope, I guess.
It really does help to appreciate the little time we have (I have) to do recreational activities, though. It does feel really special then.
I’ve had to come to terms with not having any time to play, really, except for maybe an hour or two here and there with my partner. It does feel awesome to at least have that going, but it sucks a lot that I don’t get to play for extended periods of time if I want to. Not even taking advantage of any sales right now, even though I might want to, just because I know that I won’t have any time to play.
It does look like a really good app and idea, but I’m wondering if it’s really necessary on mobile devices. Usually, I don’t go around clicking on all kinds of links I shouldn’t, so I’m wondering what exact purpose it accomplishes. Genuinely looking for input here.

Yea, upon reading the comment again, I see what you meant to say. Russian and Ukrainian are my mother tongues, but I only learnt to properly read and write in university - not super good at reading - so I missed that.

В университете взял русский язык и постепенно учил всё что надо было. Т.е. разговор не плоха но пишу медлено и паршива лол
Я думаю что это зависит от того в какой среде и в какой стране вырос. Английский и немецкий язык принадлежат к одной языковой семье поэтому в них много одинаковых или, по крайней мере, похожих слов и одноречий. Поэтому в школе не так уж сложно начать хорошо мучиться - в Германии. Но я понимаю что ти имееш в виду - я выбрал русский язык в университете только потому что так было задумано в программе обучения: один иностранный язык как основной и один как второстепенный. Если бы я не был носителем языка я бы предпочел изучать что-то другое.
Но лично мне английский язык дается гораздо легче чем русский чисто лингвистически потому что я приобрел больше опыта и потребляю больше медиа на английском языке.
Я действительно ничего об этом не знаю. В Чехии тоже говорят на русском? Я всегда думал что там только чешский.
What many people don’t keep in mind is that plants are usually sold in way-too-small plant pots - they usually need to be repotted immediately and can use some fresh soil, optionally fitted with some kind of plant-benefical nutrient.
What you mention is definitely true, but from my experience, a lot of my friends’ and acquaintances’ plants die because they don’t repot them.

That sounds like a promising tool, but I feel like unless I’d want to create an exact duplicate of my og account minus the posts I made, this would be too much work for I want to accomplish. But it’s awesome that tools like this do exist; I’ll keep it in mind should I ever want to clone my account(s). Thank you! :)
I’ve exhausted things I can sleep to on Netflix, and it’s literally impossible to sleep to things on Prime (so I barely watch anything there; it’s not worth falling asleep to something I like, since I might be punished for it), so I’ve started putting on YouTube in the evenings since it won’t wake me with silence at...
I had fully left Reddit ever since the API changes but checked in very very rarely every now and then whenever I googled something and Reddit results were the only results actually answering my questions. I don’t really miss it, and I found that I do spend way less time scrolling mindlessly, so that helped.
What kind of killed me was my deleting my account. I had been starting up PowerDeleteSuite in the last couple of months to get rid of my comments and posts, but I didn’t leave my PC running for long enough to delete everything whenever I actually remember to start it up. Now, I finally deleted everything and deleted my account too. I wasn’t using the account at all, but it made really sad to see the account go for good this time. Similar feeling to when I deleted RIF off my phone.
