Einige gesicherte Erkenntnisse zur allgemeinen Erbauung (vulgo „Fun Facts“):

  • Trockenes wird durch Hinzufügen von Wasser nass
  • Es interessiert den Baum, der im Wald umfällt, einen Scheiß, ob ihm jemand dabei zuhört
  • Jedes Musikstück wird besser durch Blastbeats & Doublebass

Okay gerade knapp 25 Jahre später realisiere ich, dass damals Bilddateien schon teilweise dargestellt wurden während sie noch luden. Also, die mussten und müssen zur Anzeige nicht vollständig geladen sein.
Jedenfalls so Formate wie JPG. Animierte GIFs werden auch dargestellt während sie noch laden.

Bilder kann man Streamen!

The 5 is here and like its predecessor it supports decoding and displaying H.265 in 4K@60fps.
Some of you may wonder: does that really work on a modern / desktop? If my laptop fan starts spinning when playing such content, how can the PI handle it?

Here I'd like to draw your attention to a pretty cool feature we just introduced in - support for YCbCr or YUV pixel formats in the system compositor (Mutter).

@drguidoknapp irre Geschichte! Umso wichtiger, das zu Belegen. Ich sehe bei dir immer Quellen, was ich super finde! Allerdings leider immer nur in einer Antwort und nicht im Beitrag selbst. Ich würde beim Teilen gerne zeigen "ja, die Geschichte ist mit Quellen belegt" - gerade, weil sie so oft unglaublich sind.

Könntest du den Quell-Link evtl. in deinen Post packen statt in einen Kommentar darunter? So ist gleich klar, dass es Quellen gibt. Und man kommt nicht erst darauf, den Post abzutun.

@ichbinjazz die Zeichenbegrenzung sollte keinen riesigen Unterschied machen. Zumindest bei Mastodon wird jeder Link - egal wie lang - mit maximal 23 Zeichen berechnet.

Dass der Account schon lange existiert und erfolgreich ist, heißt ja nicht, dass man nicht etwas vorschlagen darf, oder? ;) ich bin mir sicher, das wird auch nicht blöd aufgefasst. Muss man ja nicht machen, nur weil ich es vorschlage...

Ich habe beim ersten jedenfalls erst mal nach der Quelle suchen müssen. 🤷‍♂️

@derthomas mittels Profillink auf die Website und zurück. Im Brinzip eigentlich nur eine Domainverifizierung, aber die ist in der Regel ausreichend.

@pallenberg bin sehr zufrieden damit und habe keine Schmerzen :) Könnte von mir aus so bleiben.

Edit: Muss aber auch dazu sagen, dass ich fast keinen Vergleich mit den herkömmlichen sozialen Netzwerken habe. Nur Twitter habe ich mal ein paar Wochen lang genutzt und dann das Interesse verloren. Kein Facebook, Insta, Tiktok...

Heute bei einem super lieben alteingesessenen Geschäft für und Drähte eingekauft. (Draht Grünzweig) Sympathischer Verkäufer, der neben den großprojekten auch einen kleinen Laden besitzt indem er seine Produkte auch verkauft.

Und dieser schafft es sogar bessere Qualität als online zu einem günstigeren Preis als online anzubieten. Er sagte mir selbst, er sieht es einfach als Werbung, dass Leute auch später wieder zu ihm kommen und alles aus einer Hand bekommen.

Heute hat jemand in der Fitnessumkleide ernsthaft sein Jabra Headset rausgeholt und ein Meeting mit nem Kollegen angefangen, während er sich umgezogen hat.

Finde ich nicht nur fahrlässig von ihm (hallo, Burnout!), sondern auch total unhöflich allen anderen Anwesenden gegenüber. Vllt genießt ja jemand gerade die arbeitsfreie Zeit...

With the price increase in every single tech subscription service of today already happening or coming, I think it's high time to reconsider whether we really need all the streaming, video games, task management programs, etc.

Because I understand the rising costs of living, but some companies are being utterly rude toward their paying customers.

@sharan I agree. Every price raise is an opportunity to reconsider the subscriptions that we have. It is really necessary to pay 5€ per month for a document scanning app? Maybe there is an alternative that can be bought and paid for once.

@sharan I miss the times when we could buy an app and keep it for years. Nowadays you keep paying every month. If you stop, all is lost :(

I'd prefer to pay for a version that is supported for at least 5 years and that I can stick to. If new features are implemented on future versions, I could still think about paying for an upgrade...

@michael mittlerweile hoste ich mein S3 selbst, weil ich genug Speicher habe.

Aber ich war mit Scaleway sehr zufrieden. Single Zone reicht völlig aus. Und von den Ressourcen, die von meinen eigenen Usern kommen (also nicht nur gecached sind) habe ich auch Backups gemacht. Dann zu IONOS. Mit rclone. :)
