Radha Krishna, the epic love story

Was very moving, was all teary-eyed towards the end. For all those wondering "Why Radha and Krishna didn't end up together?", "How did they meet?" "How did they hold their love for each other and marriages to other people all those years?" this book answers all your questions.

This book is also a very short read, I must have finished this book in half an hour to an hour. Definitely a recommended read. @bookstodon

Radha-Krishna: Sacred Love Stories by P.R. Vadgama -

This is a short story collection. Some stories were very good 4 stars.
Some stories were meh 2-1 stars.

My favourite quote from the book is,

Everytime I read a Jane Austen, I think this is the best until I read the next one again.
Loved #Sense and sensibility.

They say Jane Austen has written books ahead of her time. But this book had some very old school plot as well. That said it was also very interesting and funny and all the other wonderful things that you would expect from an #JaneAusten book

Our habitual tendency is to look past all the good things others have done for us and to instead focus on and replay every real or imagined slight. Finding time in your life to actively cultivate gratefulness is an important part of the practice of loving-kindness.

Gratefulness softens your heart and helps reduce your anger and gratefulness seeds the soil to allow loving kindness to grow naturally into joy and peace.

Review on "When Stars are Scattered" by Victoria Jamieson, Omar Mohamed

Such an intense and moving book. No wonder it won many awards. Very real and practical. Finding it hard to write a review without giving away spoilers. p.s: Special kudos to the writer and the illustrator. To bring a book to life is no joke. It is one thing to write fiction, somehow you can draw a line and disassosiate yourself from the characters with some effort. But even that is hard. To write a book based on real life and portray both the highs and lows. It is almost like living the life twice. When famous pop culture celebs write about their life, it is a different thing.

surya,
@surya@hachyderm.io avatar

@bookstodon They did most of that to themselves. So, a biography for them is reflective. But then this is purely fate's doing and I see no reason why anyone would "want" to re-live that except for it to be a beacon of light to the readers. So, rush little readers, rush, grab the book and be the light.

I had control over my feelings. I didn't have to count on somebody being nice to me, somebody being fair to me. We knew life was unfair. Anytime I feel self-pity, sorry for myself, it is somebody else's fault. I think of my father (multiple sclerosis). That keeps me focused, straight, clear headed and grateful.
