are you surprised they didn’t tell you? They probably released a PR in their own language, in their own country that no one bothered to cover. Because claiming east is moving ahead in technology (despite sanctions) causes people to feel bad things in their gut.
As demonstrated by the downvotes without arguments on this post.
Telegram not being part of Western Intelligence Toolkit along with facebook, google, apple and others offends people to the extreme, so they make a hill out of moles. P2P is inherently privacy friendly and your IP is most likely going to geolocate to the ISP. Techcrunch seems retarded.
People are bombarded with propaganda telling them who’s good and bad. If US supports an authoritarian nation for its own interest, everything will be censored or given very little engagement so it doesn’t get the global coverage. But if it supports a genocidal state, they’d make sure most people would be supporting it.
I’m not sure how accurate StatCounter is, given that most Linux users use adblockers. However, according to it, Linux has almost a 14% desktop share in India.
Indians push these self-aggrandizing lies everywhere on the internet, from reddit, youtube, to quora and facebook. And with their population propping up these posts you have to take everything with a bucket of salt.
The top post is saying people don’t pirate Windows there because it’s illegal, like what??? go to any piracy based forums, telegram channels, and groups, it’s full of them.
Many add-ons have somewhat spookiy authorisation requirements, such as “access all of your activity”. In many cases this is justified by it’s function, and of course there isn’t any problem with it as long as we’re sure all this data stays on your computer and isn’t shared with any remote server. How are we sure of...
Easiest way is to use packet sniffing. but they could be set-up to only send data at random intervals, which could be hours, days or weeks. so you’re best bet is go through the source code by extracting the extension file and look for any links, domains or mangled code which may be encoded with something malicious.
do you trust that guy because he calls himself a scientist or because he has fancy graphs, maybe his accent? hmm… must be the lab dress shown for 5 seconds in the intro.
I saw both of his videos where he compares pixel watch and apple watch against polar h10 chest strap as a reference device, but somehow the reference device is ranked lower than apple device in his pixel watch ratings? How does that happen?
how does a reference device wind up being less accurate against the device you are testing against? I couldn’t find him testing them against an actual medical equipment.
His ranking when testing Google pixel watch where polar h10 is less accurate?: i.ibb.co/Xt9hS4J/image.png
Google is shit at hardware and nobody wants a subscription for a watch but maybe, just maybe, this guy seems like a apple fanboy?
The guy doesn’t reveal his data or the code he uses to plot the graphs, just 100s and 100s of affiliate links. How the hell people consider this scientific and why the fuck is it so popular?
if you bind the web browser to the system update you can have as long updates on Android as iOS. Considering how old devices get a washed down version of “updates” and everyone claiming that’s the holy grail of system support when google can push browser and security updates through Google Play Services. But keep repeating the only talking points you’ve ever known. You don’t have to wait for a system update for a browser vulnerability like a caveman on Google supported Android. And if Apple has to release the patch for the same vulnerability, it has to push a “system update”.
woo hoo, I had to use the Apple system update, Apple is the GOAT.
jeezus. 🤦♂️
Android by no means is perfect, is fragmented beyond control and Google is shit but these “consistent major updates” is apple fed bs. but you do you

Speaking as a total ignorant from a coding perspective. But I guess that wouldn’t be the hard part, considering that most of Duolinguo is just boxes and text inputs. How difficult it is to create a database of competent linguists with an efficient training who can progressively enhance your understanding of languages?
Between uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger, ClearURLs, Decentraleyes, and Privacy Possum, I’m having a hard time deciding which ones I actually need and which ones I don’t. Do they actually do different things, or are they largely the same?
it’s strange for them to specifically choose the light prefers-color-scheme instead of ignoring it completely. So if a website has a dark default interface with an optional prefers-color-scheme:light, it will use the light interface ignoring the default.
bleh. more face than actual content (where text is actually better to relay these kind of information). annoying af.

Why don’t you use that freedoms to create something that doesn’t involve raging online. Your “freedumb” doesn’t work on private platforms. I thought right wing numb nuts had that figured out by now.
Youtube, Facebook, Twitter has been suspending and banning users for petty or no reasons forever. Now they have a problem? gimme a fucking break. Censorship has always been a thing on these platforms. And this guy isn’t special.
It’s cheaper to just run SearXNG instance. People claiming any new search engine is better than established ones are hallucinating with their anecdotes.

are you 14? People have a lot of reasons to archive their communication: forgotten conversations, random details, family, memories, relationship, business,
But I can understand why an edgy teenager won’t have any of those.
Reddit is a now a marketing/customer relations platform disguised as a discussion forum, and has been since it got big long ago. Hundreds of bot account post nonsensical bs around the site for appearing natural until it’s their time to defend a corporation with some anecdotes. This is why smaller fediverse instances are important.
Say anything critical about a company on a popular subreddit, and there’s a horde of accounts repeating and upvoting the companies talking points. especially if the company has its own subreddit.

British colonialism gave these people too much power. Would have been 50 different countries over there, if it was not for the british, yet they act as if it wasn’t handed to them.
