filcuk,

It still stores the name triggers, even incorrect matches (last I checked, which was years back).
The recordings can be played back from account history.
The one time I looked at some random, it was mostly snippets of my conversations with friends.
Creepy.

filcuk,

Pretty sure that’s for us on mobile.
No biggie, just a bit annoying.

filcuk,

Set up scratch posts next to or on your furniture.

Signal leaked random contacts to me! (feddit.de)

When I press on some message to forward it, it shows me Random usernames of contacts I don’t know. And it even shows some Mobile Numbers I don’t know. For example, one number starts with +964 that’s Iraq. I’m from Europe tho. These contacts and numbers are from all over the place....

filcuk,

Wicked, thanks for sharing

filcuk,

It’s tricky. Anyone can start playing with prompts to get exactly what they like.
I worry for what effects this will have even further down the line, art is so fundamental to us.

filcuk,

Well, time to say my last goodbyes then

filcuk,

EVs are the equivalent of e-cigs.
Maybe less bad than the original, but they bring their own issues while marketed like the solution for the problem.

filcuk,

I think there has to be a certain balance. We can’t just cover a massive field even in trees, that creates an unhealthy ecosystem.
Sometimes, as we try to fix things quickly, we miss or ignore the long-term consequences.

filcuk,

Hanlon’s razor, quite possible.

filcuk,

Absolutely baffling at the part that everyone knows I’m talking about.
I don’t think I’ve ever felt such a combination of emotions before or since.

filcuk,

Sir or madam, exfat is definitely ‘no longer fat’, and I will die on this hill.

filcuk,

Firstly, it’s a newer format, better, gooder - one could even say sleeker?
Two, it allows (by way of support) larger capacity on the same media, which would be an equivalent to lower volume and higher strength, akin to the body of a weightlifter.

OK Microsoft... trying to log into Teams while work lapop updates to Windows 11. No longer works in any iPhone browser, including Edge. The app will not authenticate my work login. (lemmy.world)

Update…Per Microsoft’s instructions, disabled all tracking protections in Safari and requested desktop mode and it works. Their instructions say turn protections back on after using teams… 😐...

filcuk,

I use teams very actively; we don’t have slack and I hate emails.
Honestly can’t remember last time I’ve had any issues.

The app integration is awesome. It allows me to give non-technical people access to everything project related through a chat group.
15 pinned convo limit is nonsense though.
Also would like to just be able to paste markdown straight in.

filcuk,

Why? Don’t buy the armour. Let the whales pay to keep the lights on.

filcuk,

We should modernise the silly number neighbour fad by leaving messages for the next user of our public IP.

filcuk,

Turn off* cross play.
That will give more randomness, but I still get a bunch of songs on repeat in a 3K song playlist. Annoying.

filcuk,

It can be done at home* with some plastics, like the common PLA.
It’s a little expensive and you won’t get the quality of a new spool.

filcuk,

Purely on aesthetics, I find bashtop nicer, but I couldn’t get it on my server.
I often use glances for general monitoring.

filcuk,

There’s no further point once you can recite all the best scenes from the top of your head.

Okay, go on then, one more rewatch

filcuk,

If it makes you feel any better, there may be no way to avoid microplastics at this point anyway.
They’re in our animals, food, water, and the environment.
Possibly also outside the environment.

filcuk,

My fridge is ever so slightly tilted. I can throw the door open, grab all I need, and it will close after me just on time.
Life is good.

filcuk,

Readability over obscure hacks

filcuk,

Me being awkward: Of course she was. I mean, you are too!!

filcuk,

Yep, maybe 3 pills tonight then

filcuk,

No such thing as a fish!

filcuk,

Add foldable, built in pen, macro camera, laser focus, headphone jack (and a good dac), xenon flash, ideally swappable battery, waterproof and im sold - is that really too much to ask?

filcuk,

Clearly too distasteful even for those

filcuk,

I switched recently from Trillium.
After installing two dozens plugins, it may just replace my KB site, note apps, task manager and PRM all at once.

filcuk,

I’m using different vertical tabs (forget the name), have the top hidden, except if I hover over specific region, have various identities (containers?) Implementwd within the vertical sidebar and two profiles that show as a separate app on the toolbar.
Firefox is great.

filcuk,

Aliases and match detection!
Bitwarden is better at this than most managers.

filcuk,

Man, this reminds me of the 3D interactive desktops that we thought were revolutionary as kids. Some even had physics later on!
These days, if I see my desktop, Windows just forced a restart, or something else has gone wrong.

filcuk,

They are the top searches in my heart ❤️
I especially like the ones that are statements, instead 0f questions

filcuk,

4k is overboard for most people. 2k is a great and affordable middle ground.

filcuk,

It’s not supposed to, the blend of spices is just used in pumpkin pie, thus the name

filcuk, (edited )

Because every scientist is also a programmer?
Especially if they struggle to use Excel properly, no chance.

filcuk,

Do you know the enormous amount of data it takes to stream video? And how much infrastructure to have such seamless loading as youtube does, caching copies of popular videos all across the world?

filcuk,

We’ll* have ‘AI’ summarising shitty long articles written by the same AI. The future is bright

filcuk,

I feel like if you don’t agree or trust the content a website loads, dont visit it. I use ad blockers, and I think what I do is the same as piracy, especially if sites rely on ad revenue to run. I don’t like this business model, but it’s not like I’m paying for youtube alternatives either, not yet at least.

filcuk,

Slow writes are generally true, I suspect for similar reasons that most usb sticks suck: trade off between price, capacity, longevity, and thermals. I’ve used a 1TB sd card for years withoutany issues, but now have everything on a NAS instead, so the slot sits unused.

USB-C audio isn’t simple. Does the phone have built in DAC with usb pass through (most dont or its poor quality), or do you need usb DAC? Also, not all usb DACs will work on every device.

filcuk,

Well, the standard provides various formats, such as YYYY-\WWW.

filcuk,

I’m not good at statistics and probability, so I appreciate the clarification

filcuk,

I use Plex and have the ‘lifetime’ licence.
There have been bugs that don’t get fixed for years, while a bunch of new features I dont use keep getting released.

These are incredibly infuriating; downloads, server not connecting until app reset, library browsing glitches that only get worse each year…

I have not switched to Jellyfin yet due to my specific setup, but it will happen, or I’ll go mad, whichever comes first.

filcuk,

You’re not wrong, but that’s why it’s called a teaser.
