It still stores the name triggers, even incorrect matches (last I checked, which was years back).
The recordings can be played back from account history.
The one time I looked at some random, it was mostly snippets of my conversations with friends.
Creepy.
When I press on some message to forward it, it shows me Random usernames of contacts I don’t know. And it even shows some Mobile Numbers I don’t know. For example, one number starts with +964 that’s Iraq. I’m from Europe tho. These contacts and numbers are from all over the place....
It’s tricky. Anyone can start playing with prompts to get exactly what they like.
I worry for what effects this will have even further down the line, art is so fundamental to us.
I often hear science-adjacent folks stating that a tree needs to be 30 years old before it starts absorbing CO₂, usually paired with the statement that it’s therefore pointless to start planting tons of trees now for slowing climate change....
I think there has to be a certain balance. We can’t just cover a massive field even in trees, that creates an unhealthy ecosystem.
Sometimes, as we try to fix things quickly, we miss or ignore the long-term consequences.
Firstly, it’s a newer format, better, gooder - one could even say sleeker?
Two, it allows (by way of support) larger capacity on the same media, which would be an equivalent to lower volume and higher strength, akin to the body of a weightlifter.
Update…Per Microsoft’s instructions, disabled all tracking protections in Safari and requested desktop mode and it works. Their instructions say turn protections back on after using teams… 😐...
I use teams very actively; we don’t have slack and I hate emails.
Honestly can’t remember last time I’ve had any issues.
The app integration is awesome. It allows me to give non-technical people access to everything project related through a chat group.
15 pinned convo limit is nonsense though.
Also would like to just be able to paste markdown straight in.
I know this is controversial, but it was £13 and came with a bunch of filter papera, they dont fit as well as the ligit aeropress ones, bhy they work fine....
If it makes you feel any better, there may be no way to avoid microplastics at this point anyway.
They’re in our animals, food, water, and the environment.
Possibly also outside the environment.
I would love the child of a Surfacebook with a Framework laptop; or A bare keyboard attached to a screen, that I could plug my phone (possibly running Phosh) and use it as a hardware for a laptop experience
Add foldable, built in pen, macro camera, laser focus, headphone jack (and a good dac), xenon flash, ideally swappable battery, waterproof and im sold - is that really too much to ask?
I’m using different vertical tabs (forget the name), have the top hidden, except if I hover over specific region, have various identities (containers?) Implementwd within the vertical sidebar and two profiles that show as a separate app on the toolbar.
Firefox is great.
Man, this reminds me of the 3D interactive desktops that we thought were revolutionary as kids. Some even had physics later on!
These days, if I see my desktop, Windows just forced a restart, or something else has gone wrong.
Do you know the enormous amount of data it takes to stream video? And how much infrastructure to have such seamless loading as youtube does, caching copies of popular videos all across the world?
I feel like if you don’t agree or trust the content a website loads, dont visit it. I use ad blockers, and I think what I do is the same as piracy, especially if sites rely on ad revenue to run. I don’t like this business model, but it’s not like I’m paying for youtube alternatives either, not yet at least.
Slow writes are generally true, I suspect for similar reasons that most usb sticks suck: trade off between price, capacity, longevity, and thermals. I’ve used a 1TB sd card for years withoutany issues, but now have everything on a NAS instead, so the slot sits unused.
USB-C audio isn’t simple. Does the phone have built in DAC with usb pass through (most dont or its poor quality), or do you need usb DAC? Also, not all usb DACs will work on every device.

I use Plex and have the ‘lifetime’ licence.
There have been bugs that don’t get fixed for years, while a bunch of new features I dont use keep getting released.
These are incredibly infuriating; downloads, server not connecting until app reset, library browsing glitches that only get worse each year…
