dudewitbow,

Its sort of indirectly mentioned when they mention the security benefits of lifi, as in order to effectively have access to it, you would need access to the room.

The tech isnt meant to completely replace wifi, it just jas some benefits in certain use cases over wifi.

Disney’s Harsh New Reality: Costly Film Flops, Creative Struggles and a Shrinking Global Box Office (variety.com)

For the past decade, Disney has been the Teflon movie studio, remarkably adept at withstanding the tectonic changes impacting the film industry, and well fortified by its arsenal of key properties such as Marvel, Lucasfilm and Pixar....

dudewitbow,

Theyre only connecting series together because Disney wants to ultimately do their rendition of Secret Wars (happened in the comic series in 2015). They threw the hints by including the concept of incursion in the multiverse of madness. Its also why fantastic 4 is getting a reboot, despite the countless number of times it failed. Dr Doom is essential for Secret Wars to happen.

Is there a name for this tune/cadence?

I’m sure most of you have heard a chant/cheer using the tune/cadence I’m talking about, but it’s really hard to describe something like this in text. Most of the chants that use this tune starts with “Let’s go” and then some two-syllable word following it. For example, “Let’s go Jackets” or “Let’s go...

dudewitbow,

Its a deviation of The Routers “Lets Go (Pony)”

dudewitbow,

Always assume nintendo games are full price until othwrwise stated.

Nintendo is easily the worst platform to be on if you are part of patientgamers

dudewitbow,

To be fair, adoption of bluray took a bit of time. The cheapest blu ray player was the PS3, and that was like 600$

dudewitbow,

Probably only due to a less bloated OS, as high and chromebooks run standard pc laptop parts. Would be similar to min maxing battery by optimizing a linux distro.

dudewitbow,

There are Chromebooks that do approach 1000$.

To take a more luxury approach, Framework has a chromebook edition of their laptop, which has the same hardware except a different motherboard firmware as chromebooks require a titan chip onboard.

Does the reddit style format breed toxicity?

Does the reddit style format inherently make for a toxic environment? Or is it a culture of toxicity from the influx of reditors? For lack of a beter example, on stackoverflow, when someone down votes you, it comes with a comment saying how to improve. On mastodon, people can’t downvote you. These platforms are a joy to use,...

dudewitbow,

Not necessarily toxicity, but echo chambers. Echo chambers could then be used to be toxic.

dudewitbow,

Honestly with how affordable mini pcs are (even when soeaking about apple devices, as the mac mini is the chepest entry point into OSX brand new) AIOs to me seem like a dying trend.

Though said with somebias as i do work e-waste and i hate having to handle imacs.

dudewitbow,

Burritos dont necessarily have to have beans, its just that an overwhelming amount of them do, on both sides of the burrito border (as burritos were made popular in northern Mexican areas, and all the border states that border mexico)

The burrito isn’t traditional food in terms of entire country and is very regional. Really the requirement of a burrito is that its a flour tortilla (as corn would make it closer to an enchilada) that wraps ingredients, typically a protein and/or some rice and beans with other additions and is served warm (where wraps are usually served cold)

There usually arent named examples of burritos without beans on the southern half, but no one would remove the burrito name if one chose to remove the beans from it. On the northern side of the border, examples of beanless burritos would be a breakfast burrito, or a california burrito(sub beans for fries)

dudewitbow,

Yes ive had breakfast tacos before visiting my cousin in LA. Definately would prefer if fresh.

dudewitbow,

Traditionally, its served with a really thin wrap, but a steamed bun wrap is usually the other medium its typically served with.

dudewitbow,

The platforms replaces “bad words” with “removed” automatically

dudewitbow,

Isnt that wholely dependant on what kind of dev and project youre working on. For example, browser devs would diaagree given that all browsers on IOS must use Webkit.

dudewitbow,

Nice, a spot for 2011-2022 Kia/Hyundai vehicles

dudewitbow,

Isnt that based on the assumption that Valves public comment about removing the drm in the case they go under is a lie. It becomes a trust issue then, and to the public view, many put trust in them.

dudewitbow,

There are many things that happen for “no reason”. Its fully a trust issue if you dont think it would happen.

dudewitbow,

More people, introduces different problems.

For example, not having enough people engaging in a more niche community is a HUGE problem, which can only really be fixed with more people.

dudewitbow,

Japanese sites have web ui designs that are pretty bad. Argue way worse than having to use the official reddit app ad wise.

dudewitbow,

Define feature parity, as you could look it in the opposite direction as well as different versions will have features previous versions lack (e.g 11 has an updated version of snap which allows for better window management, and more applications have tabs by default, like notepad and file explorer)

dudewitbow,

If it makes you feel any better, HoT is the hardest one, and the newer expacs are (reletively) easier than HoT

dudewitbow,

Outside of edge case graphics IP that Nvidia/AMD own, the biggest wall for any corporation is priority on bleeding edge node processes. Apple, followed by AMD takes the lionshare from TSMC, which is the current leader in terms of fab process quality. Its would be harder for TSMC to trust some chinese firms due to political world tensions.

That and one of the biggest requirements for a gpu is having a really deep driver and software team.

dudewitbow,

I think its better for the more mainstream subs, but lavks for more niche subs

Do You Think There Would Have Been a Large Protest if Steve Huffman Just Said We're Charging to Use the API to Increase Revenue?

I've been a long time Redditor and an Apollo user for about a year. I even paid for it. The main draw for me was the lack of advertising. In the back of my head I kept thinking that it couldn't last. Reddit is losing revenue from the lack of advertising views. It didn't...

dudewitbow,

They couldnt do this because apollo dev already offered to sell apollo for 10m, half the cost it would have costed them for continued api usage.

The precedent is already there to buy one and reddit missed it.

dudewitbow,

There are opt in bots in deveopment that allows individual servers to be indexed for search engine visibility

dudewitbow,

Its basically why one of windows 11s goals is complete rewrite of the start bar. Just to get away from legacy spaghetti code from ME.
