As the title said, I’m looking for good videos to learn astronomy, cosmology and astrophysics (really, anything related to space is fine, such as rocket science).
Kind of a trend, the amount of youtubers who i had loved but their content became generic after gaining popularity is quite a bit, most drastic one being mrwhosetheboss, his uniqueness went down faster than MH27 MH17
Apparently not just his tools, either. He’s got some partners too, and it started recommending me their videos too. Their stuff is more of the same, advertisements for their store.

Yeah, but us millennials were only teenagers at best, toddlers at the youngest. Not really enough time to do anything with it. So while we got to experience a cool time in our youths, we had it all ripped away as soon as the .com bubble burst, and then 9/11 hit, along with other mixed events, like the Unabomber, Columbine, etc. We were also the first in line to get sent to Afghanistan.
Meanwhile Gen X got to live their adult lives during the 90s and make a name for themselves.
I’m among the first millennials. I grew up without a computer. While we had that single, ancient Apple II in school for the Oregon trail, it was just as a “treat” and never in any serious educational use. Didn’t even have a computer lab till high school, and all they really taught us was word processing/typing. I was lucky we had some extra off site courses available that taught some IT, CAD, HTML, and programming. But that was by the end of the 90s, 1998-99.
But yeah, point I’m making is while computers were around, not everyone really knew about them. I think there were a good number of middle class millennials who got to grow up with access to a computer at home. My family was too broke to lay down 2 grand on a computer that my parents had no understanding what it was useful for.
I have had a tendency since my earliest days on social media where I will get halfway or more through a response, and end up just cancelling it. Sometimes I feel like I’m just being to over the top with snark or otherwise don’t want to be that kind of person, but a lot of the time I’ll decide I just really don’t care...
I do that often. Sometimes I stop and touch grass and realize I’m being stupid. Other times I realize I’m just wasting time, or just repeating what someone else said. Like yeah, my opinion matches up with someone else’s, but it isn’t helping the discussion any. Or other times I just need to chill from a heated discussion.
But usually the biggest one is when autocorrect is fucking with me and I just don’t have the patience to go back and fix just about every word I just swiped. I figure, if it’s that bad, then it just wasn’t worth posting.
Well sure, a 5 year old phone will lose most of these performance comparisons against modern phones, but will it lose badly enough for consumers to care?
I wish my old phones would work that long. Performance usually isn’t the problem. It’s hardware degradation. Battery dying. Ports wearing out. Boot loops and crashing.
This is gonna be a sad day. Bad Company 2 was fucking great. Hopefully the community can come together to keep it online like they do with Titanfall 2.
