WalrusDragonOnABike,

Doesn't seem to be like it's trying to be 100% accurate but the underlying message it tries to convey is probably serious (that there's a class of people who mostly make money because they have money to own things).

WalrusDragonOnABike,

Maybe That Lady stands to pee and Banana has access to that intel?

WalrusDragonOnABike,

Name one non-wealthy person attacked by space orcas.

WalrusDragonOnABike,

6 years ago? Was togetic's catch rate still bugged them? It was practically uncatchable at launch (only crit catches worked)

The only reason I use it over firefox is about tab grouping and how tab mutting work by default. I don't feel like trying out a bunch of extensions to find one that does what I already get from another browser. Also don't have to worry about installing ad blocker. Originally switched because it worked better than uorigin for a specific use-case that was relevant for me. I also have vivaldi, firefox, and librewolf install and will use them occasionally. Privacy isn't a big concern for me though; when I tried to switch to librewolf, the privacy features ended up annoying me so I disabled a lot of them because they interfered with using the browser how I wanted.

Not recommending Brave. I agree at least in theory with using Firefox and I want more people to use Firefox. But its what I'm use to and there was reason for me to try it out at the time I switched to it (that's probably irrelevant now).

WalrusDragonOnABike,

USmobile still offers non-unlimited plans. I thought ting did as well, but I guess that changed at some point. But I think I've only heard of one person using USMobile.

Are there any green alternatives to asphalt in development?

Asphalt used on road surfaces are byproducts from fossil fuel. With the ultimate goal of eliminating the use of fossil fuel to combat climate change, are there any good alternatives for road surfaces? I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a viable replacement of asphalt in the works, or even a plan to replace it in any...

WalrusDragonOnABike,

Bumpier = slower = safer.

Slower = driving less distance = less wear and tear.

WalrusDragonOnABike,

Cars are the least efficient means of transporting people and make all other means of transporting less efficient. Less cars = more transportation happening.

I want surgery to lose erotic sensation because I hate sexual feelings. Advice greatly appreciated.

TL;DR - I want surgeries so I can get rid of erotic sensitivity. I would really appreciate advice from anyone who has had any top or bottom surgeries, especially if they had such surgeries for the same reasons as me. What was your experience like? Were there risks that it wouldn’t work? Did you have to do anything to make it...

WalrusDragonOnABike,

IME, that just leads to more sexual arousal, difficulty sleeping, etc. I'm sure OP has similar lack of success from simply abstaining. Even if masterbating is not pleasant, its sometimes better than the alternative...

WalrusDragonOnABike,

Given they're already taking E and CA, wouldn't an orchi just mean not needing the CA? It wouldn't do anything about the excess sensivity they're dealing with. Also given the issues they had with just E+spiro, it could just make things worse.

How do I cope with the idea I'm unattractive and that's unlikely to change CW NEGETIVE POST

spoilerIve kinda considered quiet quitting mg transition, I feel like few take it serrious, and my friends that do it feels like they are just being nice to me cause they feel bad that my dreams just are not possible. At this point ive kinds reached the idea that I’ll just boymode forever and hope they silently change my ID...

WalrusDragonOnABike,

From my understanding, your body is going to be using fat and re-building fat deposits even if you aren't losing weight, which given enough time should eventually move fat deposits. But if there's a lot of fat to be moved, then "eventually" might not be on a timescale that's useful. Forcing the body to burn more fat while on HRT of course speeds up the process.

Imo, 3,17,18 were obviously AI imo (based on what I've seen from AI art generators in the past*). But whatever original art those are based on, I'd probably also flag as obviously AI. The rest I was basically guessing at random. Especially the sketches.

*I never used AI generators myself, but I've seen others do it on stream. Curious how many others like me are raising the average for the "people that haven't used AI image generators" before.

Definitely not statistically significant.

WalrusDragonOnABike,

My first impression was "AI" when I saw them, but I figured an AI would have put buildings on the road in the town and the 2nd one was weird but that parts fit together well enough.

WalrusDragonOnABike,

Thanks. Fixed.

WalrusDragonOnABike,

Seen a lot of very similar pictures generated via midjourney. Mostly goats fused with the couch.

WalrusDragonOnABike,

If people have UBI, you can get away with paying less though. That's how walmart does it; just encourage your workers to get welfare so they stay alive enough to work more

WalrusDragonOnABike,

I'd say some disability benefits as well. Simply getting by can be more expensive when you can't do basic tasks yourself, even if you have the best universal health care possible.

WalrusDragonOnABike,

I sometimes bike to work (~15 miles each way), but fortunately to have a trail I can take a good chunk of the ride to work.

Unfortunately I get off after-dark and its closed (I wouldn't ride it at night even if it were technically open), so stuck riding a sometimes poorly lit stroad for a five-mile stretch home that's down to 1-lane much of the way because of never-ending construction with no shoulder or bike lane (plus stroads most of the other 10 miles home). I couldn't recommend the ride to anyone until the construction is gone. Would be great if they'd put some protected bike lanes there though, but given the trails available during the day, non-night riders and non-bike commuters would probably feel like its redundant.

WalrusDragonOnABike,

Switch to using an ebike this year, so it has its built in light, I have another rear light that blinks (not very bright and turned so its not directly facing drivers), and recently got a helmet with a front and rear light. Also wear bright clothes and have reflective stickers on my bike and stripes on pannier. I still don't trust some of the cars given passing in-lane is the only option for them to pass and the lane is too narrow for that.

WalrusDragonOnABike, (edited )

Its an unlit winding trail along a steep drop off with pigs (and I do not mean cops - another part of the trail is directly on their station and I've never had any issue riding there at night: its lit, ironically by car dealerships, and not along a steep drop off; it also does have pigs out hunting at night though).

WalrusDragonOnABike,

Its a nature trail meant for well-off office-workers to go for recreation during the day, so they're not going to build several miles of fencing for poorer people to commute at night. Pigs are primarily nocturnal, so they're not an issue during the day.

Also roads obstructing wildlife migration is already a problem. We shouldn't be trying to expand that.

WalrusDragonOnABike,

If he can even get a 1% gain in net worth from market manipulation, it would be a worth it even with 2 more zeros. 1 billion dollars is barely anything for him. 20mil is like a $80 fine for millionaire.

WalrusDragonOnABike,

Even if we could just take away 99.9999%, that would be nice. He'd still be several times wealither than the average american his age.

WalrusDragonOnABike,

Fetuses are regularly assigned gender, whether they have one or not (and by the time you can have a high-confidence guess at genitalia, the brain's gender might already be somewhat determined). At conception, many transphobes would try to assign gender based on chromosomes even though those aren't even used for assigning sex and certainly there is no gender given there's no brain yet.

WalrusDragonOnABike,

And the reception of those hormones, which may not exist or may not be functional for some people.

Turns out making beings out of trillions of cells of 100s of types (all of which have basically the same 3 or 6 billion base pair genome, yet have to act very differently) is complicated and any process has many steps, which involve various genes, receptors, signals, etc, all of which could be interrupted.

WalrusDragonOnABike,

Trans is about how your gender identity relates to their assigned gender. If life begins at conception and you assigned gender at that point, everyone should be assigned female. Anyone who identifies as a man would have a gender that doesn't match their assigned gender and therefore would be trans.

WalrusDragonOnABike,

Haven't really had to deal with this much, but getting immediate family member's name correct the first time is a challenge for me even when they've always had the same name. If their names start with the same letter, their names may get mixed up often...

WalrusDragonOnABike,

I remember seeing GSM a lot more like a decade ago and don't remember seeing GSRM until more recently.

WalrusDragonOnABike,

It could be a part of i10 in houston, but it looks like it might be a lane or two more each way.

WalrusDragonOnABike,

Quick search gave this number:

Theoretical maximum saturation flow rate per lane (this will allow you to do quick calculations in your head to check reasonableness at big events): 1,900 vehicles per hour per lane

So the bottom would probably be more like 25K each way. Lightrail is only about 4-8k? Meanwhile a single subway lane each way could do more than that thing on the bottom left.

WalrusDragonOnABike,

Yup.

What does "should" mean in this context? Wouldn't it depend on if you are trying to compare peak capacities or daily usages? I'd assume which one matters more would vary based on why you are comparing them in the first place?

WalrusDragonOnABike,

I think the second one involved physical pumping your rubber body to make your blood circulate faster? Each one is fairly unique tho?

WalrusDragonOnABike,

At least when "I don't understand this" is used as an excuse to for things like this.

There are times where I feel like I don't understand things, maybe partly because I'm probably autistic and probably deal with dpdr. I'm still not confident in my understanding of sexual attraction. Gender is still a mystery to me and I consider myself under the trans umbrella and spend a lot of time in trans communities, so it's not from a lack of trying. Emotions(?) like pain and hunger also confuse me (at least one person has told me they're not emotions, but for me there seems to often be a disconnect between the stimuli and my brain's reaction to them so I'm often not sure how to answer when someone asks if im hungry or if something hurts because im not sure how my experience map to their words). But I don't use my lack of understanding to tell others they should not take pain pills, for example.

WalrusDragonOnABike,

I feel like the vast majority of LGBTQIA2S people would be upset by zoophiles and pedophiles* feeling included by LGBTQ+. Personally I don't care if they're included or not. They're definitely GSRMs imo, so I don't think they need to be included in LGBTQ+. But a lot of them have the same issues of realizing their sexual attraction is not like their peers at some point and dealing with the fear of ostracization and violence if people found out what thoughts they have.

*Not to be confused with people who practice bestiality or child molestation.

WalrusDragonOnABike,

Which is why I explicitly excluded those who engage in sexual acts with children or animals?

WalrusDragonOnABike,

That's my point though. We already exclude some sexual and romantic orientations. I'm not suggesting we change that or suggesting anyone (except homophobes) are doing that.

My point is LGBTQ+ isn't just a catchall for everything. I don't see why sex-act preference (or non-sexual BDSM/kink preference) would be included. Just like it doesn't include people simply for being jewish, neurodivergent, or every other marginalized group.

Still, even if LGBTQ+ did include the kink community, that still does not justify removing city-sponsored LGBTQ+ pride support. If anything, they should more explicitly state their support for kink community.

WalrusDragonOnABike,

r/BDSM_Aces would like to have a word with you. :)

WalrusDragonOnABike,

To quote myself:

*Not to be confused with people who practice bestiality or child molestation.

I don't care if people eventually include them or not. I'm not backtracking on that. The two statements aren't contradictory. I'm also not saying I want that (I don't). Its simply not something I care about. Ultimately, language is whatever people want it to do be, so caring about changes is a waste. Even if it makes the language less useful or more confusing.

But sexual or romantic attraction to a specific group of people certainly has more to do with other categories of sexual or romanic attraction to specific groups of people than preference for BDSM. And even attraction to a non-human group of beings is a more similar. I'm not implying a connection though. My point is that they are separate and there's even less reason to make kink a letter in the LGBTQ+.

No one wants them there except the pedophiles themselves.

I think most of them consider themselves separate as well. Its just homophobes who want to group them together.

WalrusDragonOnABike,

Fascists don't care if you try to be impartial and "neutral". They'll simply step back and ask you to meet in the middle again...

WalrusDragonOnABike,

Always said to see new headlines pushing the narrative that the strikes over just because there's a proposal. Until the rank and file vote, calling it a tentative deal seems like an overstatement that only serves to build the narrative to attack the workers later when they don't accept it. Use headlines to oversell how good the deal is, act like it's over, and then blame the workers when they don't accept a mediocre deal.

WalrusDragonOnABike,

I suspect there's some people who might sorta mean it in the moment they say it if they're jealous about something like some girl getting free drinks or something. Like, they don't want to be a woman though: they want some perk some women get. Likewise, a woman who wishes they were a man to avoid some forms of sexual harassment or workplace discrimination may mean it in a way, but may still be cis.

WalrusDragonOnABike,

Lots of trans people want to keep their penises, whether they're women, NBs, etc.

You don't need all possible forms of gender incongruence to be non-cis.

WalrusDragonOnABike,

My limited experience talking to people who I don't think would lie about it suggests to me men don't generally think about it. And according to at least one comment I saw on this topic, someone mentioned how some femboys have never considered the idea.

Like, my brother can be GNC at times, but like he like being a GNC man. Even when I asked him to consider if he could have a matrix-like VR experience what type of body would he want, he thought the idea of having a feminine body seemed fun, but he still wanted to be a man and just thought trolling could be fun.

My cousin consistently plays stereotypical male characters in video games and cares about how they look.

My best friend similarly always plays a male character and seems proud about how their character presents. And has teased me for sometimes making a girl character (in one case, I suppose it was more making fun of me using a feminized version of my own name for the character... that was a decade before I considered I might not be entirely cis).

WalrusDragonOnABike,

Its up to you to decide. NBs, genderfluid, and agender people exist, so plenty of room under the trans umbrella. And many agender people consider themselves separate from the cis and trans binary. But femboys can still be cis.

WalrusDragonOnABike,

Lifecycle emissions of ebiking can be a couple times lower unless you eat very green. Its been regularly over 100F here and I wish it was a desert so I didn't have to also deal with humidity: I've ridden in thunderstorms and think its nicer than riding the middle of the sunny summer days. Either way, still better than driving in traffic. For moving large things, a car is not any better. And driving around a moving van every day would be a huge waste when you can just use them when you need them and drive a much better vehicle (a bike) when you don't.
