Ich habe vor kurzem eine ganz passende Erklärung gelesen:

Heilpraktiker nehmen sich scheinbar mehr Zeit für Patienten als richtige Ärzte.

Mir ging es auch deutlich besser als ich zu einer Hausärztin gewechselt bin die mich nicht nur für 2 Min gesehen und dann krankgeschrieben hat sondern mir auch notfalls mal 20 Minuten zuhört und nach meinem Privatleben fragt um meiner Psyche zu helfen.
Wer sowas nicht im richtigen Gesundheitssystem findet, aber dann eben beim Heilpraktiker, der fühlt sich dort vermutlich gefühlsmäßig besser aufgehoben.

Habe aber noch nie einen Heilpraktiker kennengelernt, also was weiß ich

Wenn ich in Bayern in Präventivhaft käme und für 2 Monate zwangsweise nicht arbeiten kann; werde ich dann 2 Monate nicht bezahlt?

As a former fan of ulefones:

They’re great as long as they work, but I already had two ulefones where something broke internally physically and the IR-blaster blasted non-stop, even after the phone was off. Never had other significant problems, tho.

Aber dann gibt es auch volljährige Waisen die bei den Pflegeeltern raus sind dann am besten auch noch kein Kindergeld kriegen (wie kann man 3 Jahre dafür brauchen um einzusehen dass ich als Waisenkind wirklich kein Unterhalt von meinen leiblichen Eltern kriegen würden. Aber da war ich dann schon Obdachlos und dann hieß es ich habe keinen Anspruch. Wenn da das Amtsgericht nicht dazwischen gegangen wäre wäre ich noch Jahre verschuldet gewesen.

Also mir hätte das Geld damals echt gut geholfen.

I’m fairly sure there will be a lot inch-based calibers as well; but one of the most known calibers has mm literally in the name.

(and I know there are e.g. the .50 Magnum appearing in many movies/games; which is based on inch; but I would say less iconic than a 9mm; at least in the kind of movies and games I grew up with)

2FA is just a second password and has nothing to do with encryption. Can simply be removed.

They could bypass this authentication without problems, if they want. I lost my phone and my google business account got restored regardless of 2FA. It’s just a button for the support. The problem is the identification, especially of private customers (dunno if they would even do that).

Encryption passwords aren’t time-based either, they must be static.

I see he is using a simple Self-signed one; they’re often quite easy to automate. While just tangential to my proficiency I could have a quick chat with him and then throw the appropriate tutorials for the specific hosting solution (and a helping hand, if needed) at him to never have to renew it manually again.

Wenn die Immobilie selbst genutzt wird, ist die Erbschaftsteuer 0€.

Meines Wissens aber nur bei Erbe ohne eine Generation zu überspringen. (Also Ehepartner oder Kinder)

Wird eine Generation übersprungen (also an die Enkel vererben weil die Kinder schon ein Haus haben), dann muss man Steuern zahlen und hat auch nur den halben Freibetrag

I have to admit I use mostly Ubuntu and Mint;

the only drivers I had to install (successfully) were ethernet and wifi drivers on laptops. (luckily bluetooth and usb-tethering always works.

The only driver I never managed to install is the fingerprint reader. But who can expect that a Dell Laptop for 5k€ that is sold by dell with a linux-option has linux drivers for all of the hardware…

I assume it’s easier to process biometric data if the source is normalized. That’s why in my country it’s also important to match your eye-position with an overlay on the screen of the photo-automat.

Was on workation with my company and the hotel had a taco bell. on the outside.
First taco bell in my life, and all expenses are paid by the company.

We ate taco bell for the whole week daily for lunch (and burritos for evening, but from a proper mexican restaurant)

Normally I have a pretty weak stomach, but it seems like my stomach was never as stable as in this one week taco&burrito-only -diet

Benefits of a plotter in this case:

  • easier to align with the existing lines on the paper
  • the ink doesn’t look printed (depending on the pen; I would use a blue ball-pen to make text look more authentic)
  • there are pressure-marks left on the paper, you wouldn’t have these on regular printers

Coming from a country where we at least give servers minimum wages* and then they can keep their tip tax-free** on top; this still doesn’t sound right.

I at least know that all** of my tips go to the server on top of what he would’ve get in the first place. Otherwise I’m essentially not gifting money for good service but paying part of the wage for normal service as well. And that’s something that should be priced into the products, not tips.

*unless they were unemployed for years, then minimum wages don’t apply for the first six months, and i guess there are some other loopholes; but in general minimum wage is the minimum

**unless its a “throw everything in a pot and then share it at the end of the month” arrangement; or if the tips is required; it must be a voluntary gift from the customer directly towards the server to not count as income

Warum sollten nur private Fahrzeuge zählen? Jedes nicht-im-Haus-lagerbare Fortbewegungsmittel benötigt Platz. Ob das nun vorm Haus, auf dem LKW-Parkplatz oder im [wo-auch-immer-Züge-schlafen] ist. Wäre der Platz nicht für diese Art Fahrzeug benötigt könnte man da was anderes draus machen.

Fahrräder sind nun mal um einiges kleiner …

Und nehmen deshalb weniger Platz weg. Wo hinkt da der Vergleich?

Maybe slighly off-theme, but:

Cucumber and spring onions

They are great on lunch-sandwiches (e.g. salami, cheese, cucumber, a few spring onions) and multiply my satisfaction with just 20seconds of extra work.

It’s surprising how 2-3 slices of a tasteless thing can increaae taste so much.

Sure, but in this case, most of the lemmy-clients (FOSS or not) are bad.

I have problems logging into my accounts (seems like some instances want my email as a username and many clients cannot handle this after I switched accounts), some clients don’t feature editing or deleting your posts, some clients don’t show my saved content, some clients don’t allow to see what you posted

Sure, much of this is because they started from scratch and will maybe surpass sync some day; but right now I couldn’t find something that isn’t worth. (didn’t try infinity yet, tho)

it’s not necessarily “FOSS is bad”; it’s just that the current lemmy-ecosystem is in it’s child shoes (I have the feeling this proverb doesn’t work in english?)

That said: I use Sync4Lemmy since 5 minutes and this is my first comment; so let’s see if/what it will deliver

  1. I never understood why space should be at premium. A phone does not need to be as thin as possible. 1½-2cm thickness is reasonable in my eyes, and would allow so much more ports and/or buttons. I would have use for 2-3 extra buttons.
  2. The biggest pro of two opposing ports: you could always charge your device regardless of orientation. With just a port on the bottom charging while scrolling in the bed is often uncomfortable

Unter dem Namen “Backforce” gibts es Interstuhl-Stühle welche noch halbwegs die Gaming-Optik haben

Habe mich fast sofort in das Ding verliebt; wenn mir (187cm) nicht die verdammte Kopf/Nackenstütze in die Rückenwirbel gedrückt hätte.

Ich würde den “Backforce One Pro” aber jeder Person mit ausreichend großem Geldbeutel und ausreichend kleiner(!) Größe (denke so <183cm) empfehmen!

Fühlte sich verdammt hochwertig an, und auch ergonomisch. War echt traurig den wieder abzugeben.

Habe jetzt einen Secretlab-Chair, welcher zwar meine Bedürfnisse erfüllt, sich jedoch vergleichsweise weniger ergonomisch anfühlt.
