I figured out what it meant from context but when I first read the headline my immediate thought was something along the lines of “what the hell does that mean? Sleeping on a bed without sheets? lumpy pillows? The fuck?” lol

I had one of those come in once when I was working IT. Iirc the hdds may have been raided so I’m not sure if you could easily recover the data unless it was like a raid 1. That said if you just want the hdds yeah they were just normal shit in an overdesigned enclosure.

You wrap a fridge magnet in a soft cloth (so it doesn’t scratch anything) and then give it a good scrubbing duh. Make sure you get between all the keys (the data can get stuck in there)

If something doesn’t support webp you should really be converting it to png not jpg so it doesn’t get more degraded

Jpg is lossy and throws away information every time it is used, that’s why you get the “deep fried effect” when you re-encode something repeatedly. PNG is lossless so it’s a perfect replica of whatever image you encode with it. It does take up more space however.

They only bought bandcamp last year, and now they’re selling it to “Songtradr”. What that means for bandcamp I couldn’t say but I can’t imagine it’s good
