Yes, and depending on the engine, the skybox can even be spherical and/or “infinite”. Without a skybox, many engines will draw geometry over the previous frame, resulting in a dizzying non-refreshing background (that often gets psychedelic due to repeated color effects).

On December 5 or 6, people dressed as St Nicholas the Bishop and a devil (and an angel in some countries) go around giving fruit and treats to nice children. This is one of the most popular treats, a chocolate St Nicholas figure.

The “original” St Nicholas would have been dressed in white but color variants exist, mostly red because of Santa’s reverse influence.

I prefer the slightly newer 3410. It has a better button layout and added features such as web browser, picture editor and downloadable games (my grandma somehow has the long-lost first ever 3D Java game Munkiki’s Castles on hers, which has been in daily use for 20 years). However, they are so similar that their later revisions only differed by the button placement and firmware (see Janus Cycle’s video).

Many pressed CD-ROMs and audio CDs will likely last over 100 years if stored properly. However, the tolerances in the standard are high so lots of manufacturers use cheaper materials and processes than intended while still producing discs with the CD logo. It will take decades before we really know which were worse than others. The most likely point of failure is delamination, which will leak air between the layers and oxidize the aluminum coating in a process named laser rot after Laserdiscs, the earliest commercial optical disc system.

Anyway, the longetivity of (re)writable CDs is indeed usually below 20 years.

No, it’s not about the thickness. Most of it is clear plastic anyway, the data layer is only in the top few dozen micrometers. Also, all CDs and later 12cm discs were 1 mm thick by spec.

The name means “baked tea” and it is just as popular on Christmas markets in the Visegrád countries as Glühwein (mulled wine) is in Germany. It probably isn’t sold where you live but you can make it at home.

• Sterilize some jam jars.
• Take all sorts of warm wintery fruit (apples, pears, oranges, plums, raisins, grapes, strawberries, cherries, mandarines, blackberries, blueberries, currant, raspberries, figs, anise, lemons) and chop it into small pieces, like 8x8x8 mm at most. Remains from juicers are OK. Add sugar (300 g/fruit kg) and cinnamon (1 tsp/fruit kg), perhaps some spices (such as clove).
• Preheat your oven to 180-220 °C.
• Bake in an open roasting pan for 30 minutes. Stir every 5-10 minutes.
• (Optional) add 100 ml/fruit kg rum and mix it in while the fruit is still hot.
• Fill the jars, wipe their edges, screw on the lids and leave them to cool upside down.

To make the tea, put 1-2 tablespoons of the mix into a mug with 250 ml of hot water. Once you’ve drunk the fruity tea, use a teaspoon to eat the fruit.

You may argue that it is actually food, and point taken. However, for some reason this is the thing I think of when someone says “beverage”.

Probably yes, those are the letters in GPS coordinates they might need to input. However, the standard with global coordinates as two floating point values is that Ⓝ and Ⓔ are positive while Ⓢ and Ⓦ are negative so they could just use that.

Anyway, they should have just used a QWERTY keyboard and added an extra N on top for the logical layout of

I think the current layout cannot be much worse. The positions of the letters don’t correspond to cardinal directions at all. In a combat scenario, you don’t want to type on a non-standard keypad. To make the NWES keys stand out as they should, they could be mildly arrow-shaped like ⭔ or ⌂. Keys are not easily confused if they have special shapes.
