This week's theme is healing. The God of Healing is but there are other gods who share in a subset of his power. Apollon's son famously brought dead people back to life. Deified after his untimely death by Zeus' thunderbolt, he received a cult of his own, the Temples of Asklepios serving as hospitals. Asklepios had children of his own, among them Panacea (Cure-all), and Hygieia (Health).
But he is not the only healing god associated with Apollon.

In fact, #Asklepios learned the art of medicine from #Chiron, a centaur raised and educated by #Apollon. Chiron in turn raised and educated many famous heroes in their youth, among them #Achilles, Apollon's son Aristaios, and Kokytos, whom Chiron had taught medicine and who cared for #Adonis when he was wounded by the wild boar.
Chiron was wounded by an arrow dipped in the blood of the hydra, giving up is immortality to end his agony. The healer could not heal himself. 😔

An older god of healing who appears in the as the Healer of the Gods is . In the Iliad, Paian heals after the latter is injured by and through medicine that produces instant relief. is healed in a similar fashion after ' arrow (thankfully without hydra blood) pierces him.
Paian is later reduced to an epithet of both and his son .
A god that is not usually associated with medicine but has a healing aspect is .

So an instance called detroitriotcity dot com is a hub for hate speech. Every now and then instances like this break through. Eventually, most of masto instances will block defederate from them so they become isolated. But in the mean time. Report them to your instance and block individuals but also mute the server.

If only because in France, generally what we call “X” is… porn. Also way to completely ditch all brand power, history and recognizability for no reason 😂

I was thinking I'd hash that out if it wins, it could just as well be a group of hunter-gatherers on the trail of a mastodon turning towards each other for comfort or in celebration of their kill. Or it's a love scene where the mastodon is just there, taking a drink at the waterhole. Lots of possibilities.

Well, that's just plain stupid: Germany's government will apparently start to manually (!!) post screenshots of their tweets on their website, to circumvent any restrictions on #Twitter's visibility introduced by #ElonMusk.

But they don't have to post there at all. Just leave already. It's not that difficult.

@girlonthenet I wanna add that I can confirm the shadowban on Twitter 100%. I consider my account fairly tame for an erotica account, when I first joined I would get shadowbanned for tweeting porn but not everyday use. Now I haven't seen tweets from my fellow erotica writers in forever, despite interacting daily in the past. Following them is not enough, as you say. Reach absolutely tanked for me even before Musk.

@SoniaSulaiman I have personally used Patreon, which is most convenient as a fellow creator since I can pay with my own account balance, without the need for currency exchange, Ko-Fi, BuyMeACoffee, and indiegogo.
I am trying to wean off of Patreon, though, and build up my own website, as I don't really trust Patreon not to fuck with NSFW creators longterm. They already did so in the past.

@SoniaSulaiman I don't know if readers expect it but it's probably the most well-known platform. I don't know how good Patreon's discovery features are but for me as a NSFW writer they essentially just collect the money for me since "mature" creators are excluded from any discovery features.

@AborigenGTS I know that rejects all erotic content in their terms of service. It's very possible they will kick me off too at some point. They are not friendly towards small businesses in general either. But for now it's the only integration for the software I'm using for my website and I'm not a developer who can make their own. I'm already looking for alternatives and I haven't even launched the subscription.

Liberapay might be such a "buffer" too but technically it's not allowed either:

@AborigenGTS It seems like they are just as dependent on external payment providers as other websites and not offering their own system.
Which is the biggest problem for NSFW content creators, really. Adult payment processors are much more expensive as the adult industry is "high risk" and it seems a little wild to use it for, like, drawings and stories.
